Terms and Conditions of Business & Carriage
Go Motee Courier Services Ltd · October 2026
1. Definitions
For the purposes of these conditions:
- Company: Go Motee Courier Services Ltd, referred to as “Go Motee”, “we”, “us” or “our”.
- Customer: any individual, business or organisation requesting or purchasing our services.
- Consignment: any goods, parcels, equipment, documents or other items accepted for collection, transportation or delivery.
- Services: courier, dedicated vehicle, same-day transport, scheduled delivery, collection and associated logistics services supplied or arranged by Go Motee.
- Subcontractor: an independent driver, courier or transport provider engaged by Go Motee to perform all or part of a service.
2. Application of terms
These conditions apply to services provided by Go Motee unless alternative terms have been expressly agreed in writing.
A booking becomes binding when accepted by Go Motee. Customers will be provided with access to these conditions before the booking is confirmed. Sending a booking request through our website does not by itself create a booking.
Any changes to these conditions must be agreed in writing by an authorised representative of Go Motee.
Nothing in these conditions excludes or restricts rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
3. Bookings and service availability
All bookings are subject to vehicle availability, operational capacity and acceptance by Go Motee.
Collection and delivery times are provided in good faith based on the information available when the booking is made.
Where an estimated collection or delivery time is provided, Go Motee will use reasonable care and skill to meet it. A guaranteed delivery deadline applies only where expressly accepted in writing.
Customers must provide accurate collection and delivery addresses, contact details, consignment descriptions, dimensions, weights and any special handling requirements.
4. Dedicated transport and subcontracting
Go Motee provides dedicated same-day courier and transport services using its own resources and approved independent transport providers.
We reserve the right to appoint appropriately qualified subcontractors to fulfil bookings.
Go Motee remains responsible for performing its contractual obligations, subject to these conditions and applicable law.
Where a dedicated vehicle service is agreed, the consignment will be transported in accordance with the specific service arrangement confirmed at booking.
5. Customer responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring that:
- goods are appropriately packaged, secured and labelled
- all relevant consignment information is accurate
- goods are legally permitted to be transported
- suitable collection and delivery arrangements are in place
- any special handling, loading or unloading requirements are declared before collection
- the nature and value of high-value or sensitive goods are disclosed before booking.
Go Motee may decline consignments that are unsafe, improperly prepared or unsuitable for the vehicle or service requested.
6. Restricted and specialist goods
Dangerous, hazardous, prohibited, temperature-sensitive, unusually fragile or specialist goods must be declared before booking.
Acceptance is subject to the necessary equipment, qualifications, insurance and regulatory requirements.
Go Motee reserves the right to refuse any consignment that cannot be transported safely or lawfully.
7. Collection, delivery and proof of delivery
The Customer must ensure that goods are ready for collection at the agreed time.
Delivery will normally be made to the nominated recipient or an authorised representative at the agreed destination.
Electronic signatures, photographs, delivery records and other reasonable forms of confirmation may be used as proof of delivery.
Where delivery cannot be completed because of incorrect information, restricted access, recipient unavailability or other circumstances outside our reasonable control, additional waiting, redelivery or return charges may apply. Such charges will be communicated where reasonably practicable.
8. Loading and unloading
Unless specifically agreed otherwise, the Customer is responsible for arranging suitable loading and unloading facilities, equipment and assistance.
Any special requirements, including forklift access, tail lifts, lifting equipment or additional personnel, must be disclosed before booking.
Go Motee may refuse to proceed where loading or unloading presents an unacceptable safety risk.
9. Quotations and charges
Quotations are based on the information supplied by the Customer and the agreed service requirements.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, quotations exclude VAT.
Additional charges may arise where the Customer requests changes to the agreed service, including additional mileage, waiting time, extra collection or delivery points, unsuccessful collections, redelivery or specialist handling.
Where practicable, additional charges will be agreed before they are incurred.
10. Payment terms
Approved business account customers are normally invoiced on 14-day payment terms unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For first-time customers and one-off, ad hoc bookings, payment is normally required in full before the commencement of the service.
Invoices and payment confirmations will be supplied as appropriate.
Go Motee reserves the right to review or withdraw credit facilities, subject to existing contractual obligations.
Statutory interest and applicable recovery costs may be charged on qualifying overdue business debts in accordance with relevant legislation.
11. Insurance
Each driver engaged by Go Motee is responsible for holding their own appropriate insurance, including goods in transit and public liability cover.
Customers must declare the nature and value of high-value consignments before collection.
Additional bespoke cover for specialist or high-value consignments may be arranged by prior written agreement, subject to insurer acceptance and any additional charges.
The existence or amount of insurance cover does not automatically determine Go Motee’s contractual liability for a consignment.
12. Loss, damage and liability
Go Motee will exercise reasonable care and skill in performing its services.
Responsibility for loss of or damage to goods will be determined by the applicable law, these conditions and any written agreement governing the consignment.
Any contractual financial limitation of liability must be expressly stated in the agreed terms and must satisfy applicable legal requirements.
The Customer must provide accurate information about any goods requiring enhanced protection or additional insurance before collection.
Nothing in these conditions limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Delays and circumstances beyond our control
Go Motee will make reasonable efforts to complete collections and deliveries within agreed timeframes.
Where delays arise from traffic incidents, severe weather, road closures, emergency restrictions or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and notify the Customer where practicable.
Any liability arising from delay will be assessed in accordance with the applicable contract and law.
14. Claims and notification
Customers should notify Go Motee in writing as soon as reasonably practicable after discovering loss, damage, misdelivery or another issue affecting a consignment.
Claims should include the booking reference, relevant delivery information, supporting photographs where available and evidence of the value of any goods affected.
Go Motee may request reasonable additional information to investigate the circumstances.
Any binding claims deadline or limitation period must be consistent with applicable law and the agreed contractual terms.
15. Cancellation and waiting time
Bookings may be cancelled subject to any cancellation arrangements agreed when the service was confirmed.
Where a vehicle has already been allocated, dispatched or has arrived at the collection point, reasonable charges may apply for work undertaken and costs incurred.
Waiting time caused by circumstances outside Go Motee’s control may be chargeable in accordance with the agreed quotation or rate schedule.
16. Unsuccessful deliveries and uncollected goods
Where a delivery cannot be completed, Go Motee will make reasonable attempts to obtain further instructions from the Customer.
Additional charges may apply for storage, return transport or redelivery.
Any disposal or sale of uncollected goods will be subject to applicable legal requirements and appropriate notice.
17. Confidentiality
Go Motee recognises that customers may entrust us with commercially sensitive documents, equipment or consignments.
We will take reasonable steps to maintain confidentiality and protect information obtained while providing our services.
Information may be disclosed where necessary to perform the service, comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.
18. Governing law
These conditions and any contract arising from them shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Subject to any mandatory legal rights or jurisdictional requirements, disputes shall be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
